Cabinet Divide Loop — Basic

Description

For either Cabinet Divide loop, start at the Parmenter Creek Trailhead at the northeast corner, accessed from Highway 2 west of Libby via Cedar Creek Road, or at the Flower Creek/Sky Lakes/Parmenter Tie Trailhead at the southeast corner, accessed from Highway 2 south of Libby via Flower Lake Road. Travel clockwise or counterclockwise.

The Basic Loop leaves out the Hanging Valley and Sky Lakes section with its off-trail Class 3 scramble. The Cedar Lakes and Cabinet Divide section still makes this slightly shorter loop worthwhile while keeping it accessible to more people.
